I was born and raised in South Africa and I have always been interested in people, places and languages. After graduating from high school, I spend time exploring Europe and studying German by working as a nanny in Switzerland. It was then that I decided travel would be the career for me. I now live in Auckland, New Zealand, and have been in the travel industry for over 25 years – 12 of which were at American Airlines and Air New Zealand. Like many in our industry in recent years, I took a 2-year hiatus and moved into event planning. This experience led me to a contract role with Brand USA as the event planner for the Brand USA New Zealand expo 2023. I look forward to combining the experience from both these industries in my role at Linkd Tourism, on the New Zealand side of the business.
And I can still speak a bit of German – alles is gut!
